This is an interesting list of books, but perhaps most interesting due to one omitted topic. That would be Outreach in the small membership church. After reading a few depressing articles about how churches are becoming both older and smaller, I'm becoming convinced that a good part of our problem is that we are only looking inward! No congregation is too small to do something for their neighbors.
I ordered these books yesterday and it was like pulling teeth. Going to the website given you have to search and if you are not exact it won't find it and then after you have selected the books and want to pay, it won't let you without filling out a detailed business credit application. I called the number and they said, I had to contact Cokesbury to actually buy these books and when I called them it was again like pulling teeth. I was supposed to have both my account number (not normally something that I have with me) and then they wanted the ISBN numbers for each book. After spelling out the titles and the authors for the person did they finally find them. No wonder the economy is in such bad shape - I want to spend money and it took forever to convince them to accept it. Not very user friendly - either publisher
Rev Peters...
Sorry to hear it was so difficult to order, surely there must be an easier way. I will also let the distributor know of the difficulty.
On a positive note, please do consider a brief review of the resources when you receive them. I am certain that others would appreciate hearing your feedback.
